MONDAY
 
Monday Juniors. 7.00 - 8.00 pm
 
Technique and Randori. Normally coached by Nick or John Humphrey. Guest coaches present all the time. Suitable for all players 
 

Monday Seniors: 8-9.30 pm

This session is led by Brian Atkins (4th Dan) and will cover aspects of self defence, kata and technique training. The session will also include at least 30 minutes randori (optional for older, injured or returning players)

 

Self defence – based on

  • Kodokan self defence training video
  • Goshin Jutsu
  • Kime no kata

 

Judo kata training:

  • Nage no kata (throwing techniques)
  • Katame no kata (groundwork techniques)
  • Go no sen no kata (counters)

 

Judo uchikomi – practicing techniques

 

Randori (free practice) will form a part of each session

 

Beginners and experienced players welcome

 
















Wednesday
 
 
Juniors. 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm. 5 years upwards and range from beginners to orange belts players. Ideal for those just starting judo or graded players alike.
 
The Squad. 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm. Invitation only. Juniors who aspire to be the best. This is where it starts getting serious.
 
Seniors 8.30 pm - 9.45 pm. For all players who like to work on techniques or work up a sweat with a hard randori session. 

And of course everyone is welcome in the bar afterwards to talk about judo or anything else for that matter while taking in refreshments. (Both nights).
If a parent Jim will always make tea or coffee as well.
