What not to Wear

After the previous page which shows that Gemma scrubs up quite well it seems she may make it on to the tele. I will let Gemma explain below but we will keep you posted.

What Not To Wear

On Monday 15th May 2007, after invitation, Gemma was invited to go to London to do some filming for the BBC teleivision show “What Not To Wear”.  The show is dedicatied to sports women and how to improve the typical sports womens’ look.  Here is what happened on the day:

I got the train to London.  When I arrived I had a brief interview and was asked question about what I usually wear, what sport I do and what involvement I have in the sport.

The was about forty other sports women involved from a range of sports such as horse riding, pole volting, triathlons, rugby and body building.  After each of us had had our interviews, we had to get changed and walk the seven minute walk through London to the house where the filming was being done.

We were filmed going into the house and once inside we had to go upstairs to a party scene where we stood in groups and Lisa, Mica and the film crew came round and spoke to us about our sports and what we want to get out of the show if we are picked.

I wanted to do this for the experience and to give judo more of a profile.

We will all know within the next week if we make it on the show, so watch this space!
